Northeast Louisiana Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation (NELA) endeavors to remove socioeconomic and medical barriers presented by Sickle Cell Anemia. We strive to maximize the enjoyment of the lives of the individuals, families, and community we serve.
Making A Difference
Enabling individuals with sickle cell anemia to live their lives to the fullest extent not compromised by their disease and its side effects is the most important goal of our organization. We increase knowledge about sickle cell disease to the people in the 12 parishes we serve. We seek to support, empower, and provide high quality resources to our community in a safe and secure environment.
